FLSA:Non-Exempt FTE:1.00 Minimum Qualifications:Requires technical
knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year
degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human

Qualifications:Master's in Museum Studies, Anthropology, or related
disciplines and ten years experience in a museum or collections
repository, specifically with accession documentation and database
management, and GNAHRGIS. Position Summary:This incumbent will
assist the Laboratory of Archaeology's Director in registrar
activities and will be responsible for the registration of
collections (physical and digital) in the Laboratory of Archaeology
and Georgia Archaeological Site File. This individual oversees the
informational management and implementation of policies and
procedures for the collections (physical and digital) including
processing, organization, and maintenance of collection submittals,
donations, loan agreements, research requests, destructive
analysis, and will function the principle contact for internal and
external elements of acquisitions, deaccessions and loans to the
collection with an emphasis on logistics, documentation, and risk
management. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Interested and
able to work with others in a team environment. Strong
organizational and troubleshooting skills; able to adapt to change.
Able to work independently on complex tasks. Understanding of
current computer technologies Physical Demands: Sitting at a desk
for long periods of time and working at a computer. Lift file boxes
that may weigh up to 40 pounds. Driving as needed to perform job

Duties/Responsibilities: Process (including physical and digital
archiving), organize, and maintain collections registration
activities, plan registration activities, process new collections
(including working with external agencies to submit collections),
incoming and outgoing loans (loan renewals as well), research
agreements, transfers, and other related accessioning, deaccession
activities and overall maintenance of all collection documentation.
Assess all documentation to ensure it follows best practice and
work with the Director to change policy and procedure accordingly.
Percentage of time:40 Duties/Responsibilities: Oversees and
maintains registration information by adding information within the
Laboratory's database system and ensure linkage across all physical
and digital collections. Assist the Director and Laboratory staff
with maintaining and providing an up-to-date inventory of the
collection. Prepares annual evaluation reports on accessioning
activities. Percentage of time:30 Duties/Responsibilities: Assist
the Director and Laboratory staff to develop and maintain
procedures and systems for assessing condition of collections such
as overseeing the incoming and outgoing collections, incorporating
condition reports, etc. to ensure the best practice for care. Such
as condition reporting and evaluating conservation treatment.
Maintains the insurance documentation within the university and all

Duties/Responsibilities: Assists the Director and Laboratory staff
in monitoring contracts and grant budgets as they relate to new and
existing accessions and producing monthly assessments to ensure
optimal performance. Regularly updates, forecasts, and monitors
expenses, ensuring performance to budget. Assist the Director with
development of outreach and social media strategies, planning of
outreach campaigns and events, managing outreach marketing and
resources, giving museum and school trip tours, and assisting with
outreach activities such as monitoring teaching trunks. Percentage
