401k Match. 30 days PTO. Job Details We are currently seeking a
dynamic and experienced Corporate Tax Director to join our growing
team. This is a permanent full-time position that offers a
challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned professional
who is proficient in accounting and finance. The successful
candidate will be responsible for managing the organization's tax
portfolio, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, and
developing strategic tax planning initiatives. This role requires
an in-depth understanding of ASC 740, S-Corp, Income Tax, FDII, and
State Tax. Responsibilities: 1. Oversee the preparation and review
of the company's federal, state, and local income tax returns and
ensure their accurate and timely filing. 2. Manage the company's
tax planning and strategy to optimize tax positions and minimize
tax liabilities. 3. Analyze and document tax positions in
accordance with ASC 740, including the calculation of deferred
taxes, effective tax rate reconciliations, and tax footnote
disclosures. 4. Develop and implement tax strategies for S-Corp,
Income Tax, FDII, and State Tax. 5. Lead and manage tax audits and
inquiries by various taxation authorities. 6. Monitor and analyze
proposed and newly enacted tax legislation and regulations to
determine the financial and operational impact on the company. 7.
Provide guidance and support to the accounting and finance team on
tax-related matters. 8. Maintain a strong working relationship with
external tax advisors and auditors. 9. Implement and maintain
internal controls for tax processes to ensure compliance with
Sarbanes-Oxley. 10. Provide tax advice on mergers, acquisitions,
and other business transactions. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's
degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s
degree in Taxation or a CPA designation is highly preferred. 2.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax, with a focus on
ASC 740, S-Corp, Income Tax, FDII, and State Tax. 3. Extensive
knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations. 4. Proven
experience in managing tax audits and negotiations with tax
authorities. 5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to
interpret and apply tax laws to the company's operations. 6.
Excellent leadership and team management skills. 7. Proficient in
tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite. 8. Exceptional
communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax
concepts in a clear and concise manner. 9. High level of integrity
