Job Description:

This position conducts work related to preparation, processing, and auditing of payroll. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instructions, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance. Responsibilities • Review emails received from projects. Balance hours, deductions and payments submitted. Communicate discrepancies to project payroll contacts and assist in resolving issues. • Load interface files received from the projects; resolve errors by collaborating with project payroll contacts. • Provide excellent customer service to internal and client's employees by monitoring the Greenville Payroll email inbox, researching and responding to inquiries timely. • Prepare SAP and Excel reports, based on existing schedule, and ad hoc. • Is attentive to detail, accuracy and committed to excellence and quality. • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) standards. • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and standards. • Adhere to and support client's Health, Safety, & Environmental Policies • Other duties as assigned. 3 years of experience working as a Payroll Analyst/Payroll Technician or similar role. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field. Proficiency in Excel; creating reports with pivot tables, macros, and VLOOKUP. Must have strong analytical, reporting, and critical thinking skills to identify payroll-related issues and compliance errors. Familiarity with payroll policies and tax regulations Requires strong discretion and independent judgement. SAP system knowledge a plus Must be able to work closely with our cohesive team and internal and external customers in a professional manner. Preferred: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional)
