Job Description Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analysis Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough cost analyses, preparing financial reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and proficiency in various accounting software and SAP systems. This candidate will have thorough knowledge in the Industrial Automotive field. Duties Conduct comprehensive cost management analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation. Prepare and interpret financial reports, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and income statements in accordance with GAAP. Perform budgeting and forecasting activities to assist in financial planning and strategy development. Utilize accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, and other financial tools for data collection and analysis. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accurate financial recordkeeping. Execute account reconciliation tasks to maintain the integrity of the general ledger accounting system. Analyze payroll data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations while assisting with technical accounting issues. Collaborate with public accounting teams to ensure adherence to SOX compliance standards. Provide insights on financial analysis related to corporate accounting functions and assist in account analysis as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, or a related field is Required. Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency in financial report writing and interpretation with experience in corporate accounting practices. Familiarity with SAP systems and various financial software tools is essential for success in this role. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
