Job Title: Tax Accountant Location: Atlanta, GA 30308 Pay Rate:
$30.04/hour on W2 (paid weekly) Schedule: Fully Onsite
Monday-Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Start Date: ASAP, pending
onboarding completion Contract Length: 12-months, with possibility
for extension or conversion to full-time Overview The primary
objective of this position is to ensure full compliance with all
applicable state and local tax regulations while helping minimize
the companys overall sales and use tax burden. This role plays a
key part in supporting tax operations, maintaining documentation
standards, and providing guidance on tax treatment within the
equipment finance industry. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with
all state and local sales and use tax requirements while supporting
efforts to reduce overall tax exposure. Serve as a subject matter
expert on sales tax treatment within the equipment finance
industry. Maintain accurate and complete documentation that meets
Tax Department standards and audit requirements. Support internal
and external audits as needed. Review and verify the accuracy of
sales tax exemption certificates. Provide guidance on optimizing
and streamlining sales and use tax processes, including identifying
technologydriven improvements (a plus). Required Skills &
Qualifications Strong experience in sales tax treatment research
with the ability to interpret and apply tax code. Bachelors degree
in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, with 46 years
of relevant experience. Monthly multistate sales tax compliance
experience. Knowledge of sales tax return preparation and filing.
Experience with Vertex Indirect Tax Returns (highly desirable).
Proficiency in general ledger account reconciliation. Working
knowledge of Alteryx, including building and troubleshooting
workflows for sales and use tax compliance (a plus). Proficient in
Microsoft Office products. Equipment finance industry experience (a
plus). Relational database experiencesuch as Access, Hyperion,
Alteryx, Tableau, or MicroStrategy (a plus). Strong analytical and
problemsolving skills related to sales tax research. TM2
