Job Responsibilities
Tri-County Technical College invites applicants to the role of
Administrative Specialist for the Arts and Sciences Division.
Reporting to the Division Office Manager, the Administrative
Specialist will perform a variety of administrative duties for the
division. The successful candidate will be responsible for
providingcustomer service, administrative support, and logistical
support for the Division. The successful candidate should be able
to demonstrate accountability, adaptability, decision making
skills, and job knowledge as it relates to this position.
The Arts and Sciences Division is comprised of five core
departments: English, Humanities, Mathematics, Science and Social
Sciences. As the largest academic unit, the Arts and Sciences
Division supports students across the college with general
education courses and the Bridge to Clemson program. The Arts and
Sciences Division offers flexible credentials designed for students
who intend to transfer to a four-year institution by providing a
range of opportunities for students to develop relevant, real-world
skills through experiential learning, study abroad, and high-impact
educational practices.
Job Duties Include:
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Serves as the Division's initial point of contact
and service hub for all internal college units. Provides customer
service to students, employees and visitors through multiple modes
of communication (in-person, email, phone, virtual). Uses knowledge
of departments/divisions to accurately answer inquiries, provide
guidance and relay other information.
ADMINISTRATIVE: Provides assistance and administrative support to
the Dean, Department Heads, and other employees as requested.
LOGISTICAL SUPPORT: Provides logistical and organizational support
for instruction by: ensuring availability and usability of
classroom spaces; collection, initial review, and submission of
paperwork for Dean's approval; liaison with other College home
offices. Assists the Division with orientation, advising, and
graduation workflows.
OTHER: Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree and experience in a higher-education and/or
student services setting is preferred.
