Position Summary
This position will oversee the Odum School of Ecology's many
websites, delivering high-quality support and anticipating future
needs. This position will also provide print and digital graphic
design, ensuring appropriate UGA branding. This position is
responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with all
faculty, staff and students in the Odum School of Ecology.

Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
Website Development and Maintenance: Plan, create and maintain Odum
School and affiliated websites using WordPress. Regularly assess
website design and functionality to identify areas of improvement,
ensuring themes and plugins are up to date and secure. Work with
leadership to establish priorities and deadlines for website
development. Design custom themes that include UGA web and digital
components (header, footer, master calendar, fonts, colors, etc.).
Handle site migrations. Provide custom site backends including
custom post types and fields (CPT and ACF) and custom functionality
requests. Implement web features to enhance user experience and
content accessibility (W3C). Assist faculty members in creating
individual websites that adhere to UGA branding guidelines.
Generate analytics reports that provide insights into website
performance, user behavior and key metrics. Take the lead on
content updates including directory entries, news stories and
sliders for Odum home page.

Graphic Design: Conceptualize, design and update graphics including
digital and print illustrations, templates, slides and photos,
ensuring appropriate UGA branding. Use digital illustration tools,
photo editing software, and layout software to create designs for
various purposes, including academic programs, promotional
materials, development and alumni relations campaigns, events and
recruitment activities, and all Odum School communications,
including the annual EcoVoice magazine and convocation slideshows
featuring photos of graduates.
