Marriott International, a global leader in the hospitality industry with a vast presence across 139 countries, seeks a Rooms Preventative Maintenance Lead to join our dedicated Engineering & Maintenance team. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standard of operational efficiency and guest satisfaction that Marriott is known for. The ideal candidate will oversee and execute preventative maintenance strategies for our hotel rooms and associated systems, ensuring they all meet our stringent quality and service standards. Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all guest rooms and related areas. Inspect rooms regularly to identify needs for repair or upgrades. Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to coordinate maintenance efforts. Train and lead a team of maintenance technicians, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards and regulations. Maintain records of inspections, work undertaken, and parts used. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring resources are available as needed. Strong organizational and leadership skills Excellent problem-solving capabilities Proven ability to manage maintenance schedules and teams Comprehensive knowledge of building systems and repair techniques Effective communication and interpersonal skills HVAC certification preferred Certification in electrical or plumbing work is advantageous
