The Irrigation Laborer supports golf course construction projects by installing, repairing, and troubleshooting irrigation systems. This role involves hands-on labor, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards while working outdoors on active construction sites. Job Duties: Level ground and prepare surfaces for sod installation Lay sod and assist with turf restoration Dig trenches and holes for irrigation lines and components Cut, glue, or fuse HDPE and PVC piping Locate underground utilities prior to digging Set grades and elevations according to project plans Dig and pound stakes as needed for layout and installation Assist with pouring and finishing concrete Backfill trenches with soil or other approved materials Work closely with crew members using hand signals to coordinate tasks and maintain safety around equipment Keep tools and equipment clean, maintained, and ready for transport Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor and crew leadership Work Environment: Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 pounds Regular walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, stretching, and standing Ability to work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions Travel required to job sites across the United States Some Saturday work required What we Look For: Individuals who work safely and have the courage to speak up if you see unsafe behavior or conditions Proper use and care of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong attention to safety, detail, and jobsite awareness Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
