Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineeris responsible for supporting
manufacturing through the creation andmaintenance of standard work
instructions, equipment sourcing, processcontrols, labor and
overhead costing, process routings and process improvement.The
Manufacturing Engineer will work alongside the Quality team,
ProductionControl team, and Senior Management team to ensure
products meet customer andquality requirements in a safe and timely
manner.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, create and update work standards and work
instructions.
- Recommends methods for improving operator efficiency and
reducing wasted motions or steps within a given work area to
include restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, or work
cell set-up.
- Support capital equipment procurement by performing objective
make-vs.-buy and cost/benefit justification studies as
required.
- Maintains complete records of time studies or other data used
to change standards.
Updates existing documentation to reflect changes in procedures,
equipment, or standards.
- Updates existing documentation to reflect changes in

- Generate daily/weekly efficiency/productivity reports, as well
as other distribution reports as needed.
- Document or change production procedures as needed, including
BOMs, tooling, and recommended part designs as well as other
revision-controlled documents.
Respond to Engineering Change requests and generate all required
routings, procedures, process descriptions to be used for prototype
and production implementation.
Contribute to designing, deploying, and maintaining a Lean
Management System.
- Contribute to prototype and new product launches.
- Supports Engineering and continuous Improvement through project
tracking and executing assigned tasks.
- Performs additional duties as assigned. Job Knowledge, Skills,
andAbilities
- Knowledge of MPS/MRP systems
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite [Word, Excel,
Outlook] and an ERP system (JDE preferred)
- BS degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent
experience
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication a plus.
- Knowledge of sheet metal working and formation a plus.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing
- At least 2 to 5 years of related experience within a
