JOB DESCRIPTION StandardAero Houston is a premier business
aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility
specializing in the service of mid-sized corporate jets. We support
an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands
such as Falcon, Hawker, Learjet, and Embraer. In addition to
comprehensive airframe services, the facility features a
state-of-the-art engine shop and test cell, performing overhauls on
TFE731 and CFE738 engines. With a commitment to quality and

business aviation flying safely and efficiently. This Aircraft
Structural Mechanic willperform internal and external sheet metal
repairs, modifications, and installations to all aircraft serviced
in our facility. They will utilize their expert craftsmanship to
fabricate various sheet metal parts (I-beams, doublers, triplers,
stringers) by interpreting blueprints. This individual will succeed
by calculating angles, diameters, and bend allowances, to cut,
shape, and form various airframe structures. The right candidate
will have extensive experience and confidence in their skills to
build structural forms such as I-beams, doublers, stringers, and
avionics trays. What to expect in this role: Perform structural
aircraft repairs using appropriate sheet metal techniques and
fasteners. Remove, replace, and relocate headers, stringers, doors,
beams, and bulkheads while building up surfaces and structures to
specifications. Install Service Bulletin kits using parts and
instructions provided by OEM. Plan and develop schemes for sheet
metal repairs and modifications by utilizing blueprints, sketches,
service bulletins, OEM specifications, engineering orders, and
other technical publications. Use precision measuring instruments,
such as micrometers, calipers, and protractors, to accomplish
repairs or modifications. Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM
Light or Heavy Maintenance manuals and evaluate removed components
for serviceability, documenting discrepancies. Document all work
accomplished in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. Accomplish
Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as
required. Analyze various mechanical problems to determine causes
and the best methods of repair. Basic Qualifications: A minimum of
three (3) years sheet metal fabrication experience required. Prior
experience working in the capacity of an Airframe Sheet Metal
Specialist, Structural Technician or Aircraft Mechanic. Experience
building I-beams, doublers, stringers, and performing corrosion
control. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without
sponsorship. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience building bespoke
structures, trays and/or mounts of all sizes and applications. A
valid FAA Airframe License. Experience working along side A&P
Mechanics and Avionics Technicians performing heavy maintenance
Corporate / Business Aviation or MRO experience strongly desired.
