StandardAero Houston is a premier business aviation MRO
(Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility specializing in the
service of mid-sized corporate jets. We support an extensive range
of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon,
Hawker, Challenger, Learjet, Gulfstream, and Embraer. In addition
to comprehensive airframe services, the facility features a
state-of-the-art engine shop and test cell, performing overhauls on
TFE731 and CFE738 engines. With a commitment to quality and

business aviation flying safely and efficiently. This A &P
Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and
major inspections on corporate aircraft. This experienced mechanic
will work across our specialized airframe teams, troubleshooting,
repairing, and modifying aircraft components. Additionally they
will perform engine removal and reinstallation, operational checks,
leak checks, and engine runs. Experience with Embraer, Falcon,
Lear, Challenger, and/or Hawker aircraft required. What You Will
Do: Performs operational checks and engine runs to ensure
air-worthiness prior to departure. Inspects aircraft in accordance
with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals Evaluates removed
components for serviceability and documents discrepancies
(squawks). Reinstalls and tests components after completed
inspection. Troubleshoots and repairs all airframe systems as
required (hydraulics, landing gear, etc.). Reads and interprets
maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and
schematic diagrams when required. Analyzes a variety of mechanical
problems and determines the cause and best method of repair. Tests
operation and repairs/adjusts, as required: engines, engine
controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear,
hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls, and adjusts
rigging as required. Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating,
cooling and pressurization systems. Utilize mechanics hand tools,
precision measuring instruments, gauges and calibration test
equipment. Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan and turboprop
powered aircraft. Use sound judgment and technical aptitude to make
decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques,
troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution. Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant
(A&P) License is required. Minimum 2 years corporate aviation
experience on Learjet, Hawker, Falcon, Challenger, and/or Embraer
(Legacy/Praetor/ Phenom) Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be available to work second shift, with overtime and weekends
as needed. Currently 2nd Shift Operates Tues-Friday, 10-hr shifts
Preferred Qualifications: Aviation training: military training,
aeronautical academy or technical school training and/or an
Aviation Associates Degree. Factory authorized training on assigned
