Position Summary:The Associate Director of Faculty and Staff Initiatives will lead the Office of Institutional Diversity (OID) in the creation of programmatic and institutional efforts that focus on the recruitment and retention, learning and development, and engagement of faculty and staff who hold identity within historically underrepresented and marginalized populations. The Associate Director will report to the Director of Diversity and Inclusion and be a part of the Diversity and Inclusion Team within OID. This position will also have expertise in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion with a focus on faculty and staff recruitment, success, and achievement. In addition, this individual will serve as a liaison between OID and campus partners, and contribute their expertise to UGA campuses and field developing trainings, presentations, publications, reports and engagements. This position will supervise one or more graduate assistants. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:Demonstrated experience with faculty and/or staff development programs. Background in diversity, inclusion, multiculturalism, ally development, and/or social justice. Ability to navigate and manage a large, complex public university. Available to work weeknights and weekends. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Strong evidence of culturally competent interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite as well as web and social media tools. Independent, highly organized and detail-oriented.
