With an experienced growing team and state-of the-art greenhouses, Revol Greens is paving the way to a more sustainable future.Job DescriptionSummary of Position:The Director of Operations (DO) is responsible for providing leadership and vision in all aspects of the greenhouse. The DO directs the onsite operations teams, ensures the safety of the employees, manages financials, and ensures the profitable growth of the business. The DO collaborates with the executive team to forecast long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Responsible for leading, directing and overseeing the overall operation of the greenhouse operation to ensure alignment with the company's strategic plans and vision.Manages business operations by implementing initiatives to increase profit through performance and future-focused productivity improvements.Responsible for the P&L for the facility; includes responsibility for establishing internal control mechanisms.Monitors and oversees the daily operations of each department throughout the facility.Acts as location's Account Manager, interacting with customer contacts as needed.Implements best practices for manufacturing, sanitation, and safety standards.Ensure operations is fully compliant with all regulations related to food safety, employee safety, food handling, and employment laws.Manages a program of safety and equipment maintenance to limit safety hazards.Quick to react and provide solutions to problems as they arise while acting in the best interest of the business.Delivers and leads a monthly business review for the executive leadership team.Secures necessary approval for fixed-asset purchases, leases, contractual obligations, and other transactions requiring company authorization.Acts as a consultant when new changes are proposed and when new facility locations are added.Improves efficiency and performance by creating new methods, procedures, and systems in production management and team management. Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.Maintains knowledge of emerging agriculture innovative technologies and trends in operations management.Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided. Exemplifies the organization's vision, mission and core values and is a role model for other employees.Leads during emergency administration.Performs other related duties as required.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to take leadership over any business operations areaExcellent written and oral communication skillsConfident and able to motivate othersKnowledge of employee and safety regulationsKnowledge of Food Safety conceptsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA preferred. Directly related experience may offset education requirement on a year-for-year basis.5-7 years of experience in business operations, preferably in agriculture, greenhouse, or distribution facility.Experience managing and producing financial statements.Well-versed in OSHA regulations.Well-versed in employee relations.Experience with Food Safety concepts.Project Management experience preferredLEAN, Kaizen, or Six Sigma Certifications are a plus.Supervisory:This position directly oversees up to 6 department managers and indirectly oversees the entire location's staffWork Environment:Greenhouse, 20%The temperatures in the greenhouse vary depending on the weather outsideClimate can range from hot and humid to cold depending on the location and time of yearPPE must be worn at all timesPackhouse, 20%The temperatures in the packhouse are between 34-38-- F to preserve product qualityPPE must be worn at all timesOffice, 60%Sitting at a desk and/or staring at a computer screen for extended periods of timePhysical Requirements:Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.Occasionally remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Benefits:PTO & Holiday PayHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance $10,000 company paid Life Insurance PolicySTD & LTDEmployee Assistance Program401k plan with 4% company-match after 6 months of employment PI197565702
