Job Description:

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Pain Management - Join this rapidly growing and well established Pain Management Practice in the Satellite office in Athens. The practice has their own adjoining ambulatory surgical center. The practice is seeking an Interventional Pain physician to provide a comprehensive, fully integrative approach to the clinical care of patients with acute and chronic pain in an outpatient setting. Candidates will join three board certified physicians and three physician extenders working out of three office locations.

We prefer physicians who are boarded in Anesthesiology or
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and are BE-BC in Interventional Pain.

Physicians work a four day week with a schedule of approximately 27-30 patients a day focusing on new patients, complicated cases and procedures while the physician extenders see patients for follow up and some treatments under the supervision of the physicians.

In addition to providing care on an outpatient basis, the physician is expected to:

1) Interpret and explain imaging (X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, etc.) and test results to identify patient conditions, recommend appropriate treatments, and provide plan of care details.

2) Demonstrate familiarity and-or proficiency in the following procedures-injections (which may vary by site location):

Medial Branch Blocks-Facet Joint Injections - cervical, thoracic, lumbar, etc.
Epidural Steroid Injections - CESI, TESI, LESI, Lumbar TFESI
Ultrasound Guided Injections - Peripheral nerve injections or major joint and bursa injections
Radiofrequency nerve ablations - cervical, thoracic, lumbar
PRP Therapy - major join and neuroaxial
Regenerative Medicine - Exosomes
Kyphoplasty
Vertiflex
Neuromodulation Practices
SCS trials, DRG trials, Peripheral Nerve Stimulation with Stimwave
Joint Injections - All major joints (knees, shoulders, hips, SIJ) However, physicians will supervise mid-levels conducting many of these injections.
Nerve Conduction-EMGs - As a PMR physician would dictate

3) Supervise physicians extenders

Compensation:

A competitive base salary based on MGMA guidelines, production bonus and benefits package is offered. Candidates will be considered for partnership if interested or can remain an employee of the practice.
