Job Description:
The Director of Football Compliance is responsible for
developing, directing, implementing, and maintaining a
comprehensive compliance program in football and an Olympic sport,
as well as other assigned areas to ensure compliance with
Southeastern Conference and NCAA regulations. The incumbent is
responsible for controlling, monitoring, and ensuring compliance
with the rules and regulations of the NCAA and SEC by assigned
departmental staff, coaches, student-athletes, and representatives
of Athletics interests. This individual is also responsible for
designing, directing, and implementing education programs and
seminars for student-athletes and assigned sport staff on a regular
basis regarding the high priority placed on NCAA compliance. Duties
and Responsibilities: 50%- Serve as compliance liaison for the
sport of football and additional areas (e.g., academics staff) as
designated and assigned. Work closely with football coaches and
staff (as well as staff in other assigned areas) on navigating NCAA
rules that place a heavier burden on head coaches, assistant
coaches, and staff to maintain an atmosphere of compliance,
including providing rules education, making interpretive
determinations, responding to interpretive inquiries, requesting
waivers from the NCAA and SEC, and investigating, determining and
reporting rules violations. 25% - Serve as primary compliance
liaison for assigned Olympic sport and additional areas. Work
closely with sport staff to ensure compliance with SEC rules and
regulations. 10%- Oversee, manage, and direct the daily monitoring
of NCAA Bylaw 12 post-enrollment amateurism (e.g., NIL) for all
sports. 10%- Manage, implement, and direct the UGA elite athlete
education and monitoring program to ensure compliance by
student-athletes who have a high likelihood of continuing their
athletic career professionally after college or who the NCAA places
a higher burden on the institution to educate and monitor. 5%-Other
