The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, founded
in 1946, is dedicated to training future veterinarians, providing
services to animal owners and veterinarians, and conducting
investigations to improve the health of animals as well as people.

diagnostic laboratory services. Equipped with the most

Minimum Qualifications
Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an
apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate.

Preferred Qualifications
-Hands on experience within an animal hospital setting that
required donning surgical scrubs, face covering and associated PPE
to assist with surgery procedures within an operating room.
Position Summary
Act as a circulating Nurse to support the surgeons by positioning
and aseptically prepping the patients, open sterilized equipment
and instruments, operate specialized surgical equipment, properly
clean and maintain the surgery suites before, during, and after
procedures. Instruct the senior veterinary and technician students
in gowning and gloving, proper hand scrubbing and basic Operating
Room etiquette, as well as orienting them for emergency duty.
