We are hiring for the following: Position: Licensed Practical Nurse - Corporate Schedule: 36-40 hours per week, shifts vary (AM or PM) Location: Locations throughout the company Pay Rate: $40/hr Responsibilities: Provide patient care including initial examination upon entry into the correctional facility, day-to-day medical care, and respond to medical emergencies as required by the site leadership (Health Services Administrator and/or Director of Nursing as applicable). Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines, MEDIKO and facility policies, and accepted nursing protocols and procedures Coordinate services with other patient care units/areas and provide nursing and patient care services as appropriate Monitor all off-site referrals and provide case management services Prepare, monitor, and coordinate the daily patient care activities of the unit to ensure all physician orders are implemented and all patient encounters are documented Provide outstanding customer service to all customers including, but not limited to, patients, correctional facility staff, internal employees and other individuals providing services to MEDIKO and its clients Work from various facility locations to provide nursing and management support, in accordance with the site-specific shift needs (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends and Holidays). Educate facility leadership and nursing department team members Collaborate with facility and corporate management team members to achieve excellent clinical outcomes Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Completion of an accredited nursing program Active state/commonwealth Nursing license (LPN, RN, etc. as applicable) Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved) Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care setting, emergency room or correctional setting preferred Ability to provide medical services to patients with no supervision Able to operate standard office equipment to include computer, copier, fax, and telephone, and standard medical facility equipment to include, but not limited to AED, EKG, blood pressure, oxygen, glucometer, pulse oximeter, and other medical equipment, as applicable Benefits Benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance for you and your family Employer-paid Life insurance policy/AD&D, long-term disability and short-term disability Tuition Reimbursement Assistance Plan CEUs paid for by MEDIKO Generous paid time off including 10 Holidays Participation in the MEDIKO retirement plan Employee Assistance Program Please visit our website at www.MEDIKO.com to learn more about opportunities with us!
