Job Description:

A hospital is seeking a neuro critical care physician for locum tenens coverage. Get in touch with nature while in North Georgia and visit one of the Georgia State Parks near Helen, which include Smithgall Woods and Unicoi. This Neuro ICU locum assignment is at a 635-bed Level I trauma center with a closed 117-bed ICU, including 18 Neuro ICU beds. The facility uses EPIC EMR and needs a board-certified MD or DO in Neurocritical Care for expansion coverage. Shifts are 7a7p or 7p7a, 7 days a week, with no call required. The locum will handle 1018 patients daily, perform 23 admissions, and cover rounding and consults in the Neuro ICU only. Procedures and code response within the Neuro ICU are required. Medical Critical Care and anesthesia are available, and APP support is inconsistent. Privileging takes 3060 days; licensure must already be in place.
