Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline:RN - Start Date:07/07/2025 - Duration:13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, nights - Employment Type:Local Contract Job Description: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Location: Anderson, SC Shift: Night (3x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Duration: 13 weeks Pay Rate : $ 46 - 49.68 Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a Med Surg/Telemetry Float role at AnMed Health Medical Center. The nurse will primarily work in a Pulmonary/Stepdown Telemetry unit, providing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions. This position requires flexibility to float within Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients on a 26-bed telemetry unit, including those requiring critical care step-down. Manage patients with diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, CHF, pulmonary embolism, asthma, encephalopathy, and sepsis. Administer and manage specialty respiratory equipment including chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care. Perform cardiac monitoring, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias. Administer IV therapy and phlebotomy, including starting IVs. Follow isolation precautions and emergency response protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, PT, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services. Accurately chart patient data using preferred systems like Epic. Licensure:Current Registered Nurse license (pending licenses accepted; Nursys or equivalent license verification required). Experience: Minimum 2 year nursing experience; 2 years preferred. First-time travellers accepted. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Skills: Experience with cardiac telemetry and Med Surg/Telemetry units. Proficient in respiratory care techniques and equipment management. Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills. Ability to float between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed.
