Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5 x 8 Hours (06:30 - 18:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year; first-timers accepted License: Must hold a valid license Certifications: BLS, CCI or ARDMS required Must-Have: Adept at diagnosing conditions including chest pain, shortness of breath, heart failure, and valvular disease. Description: Shifts will vary between the hours of 06:30 and 18:30. The position involves working with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. General skills include performing transesophageal echocardiograms and structural heart procedures. Familiarity with TD 100 probe cleaner and ultrasound equipment is necessary. The staff-to-patient ratio is 1:7 during the week and 1:3 on weekends. Floating to different locations and facilities is required. Call requirements are included in the position. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday if it falls during their assignment. If two major holidays occur, they are expected to work both. Additional compliance requirements must be met to start on time. Pre-screening by clinical staff is necessary to determine clinical fit. References from two supervisory individuals are preferred for review. The maximum request for time off is seven days. Any holiday time off requests must be compliant with the holiday policy guidelines. Candidates must be prepared to complete required tasks and labs within 48 hours of signing the contract.
