environment Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is an essential
member of an interdisciplinary team of caregivers providing
individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They work
within a clinical environment overseen by Nurse Managers and
supported through shared governance and evidence-based practice and
research. The practice framework is guided by a Professional
Practice Model, and RN competencies are built upon this structure,
aligning with values and professional standards. RN Clinical Nurses
are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and committed to the
practice of nursing as defined by the Professional Nurse Practice
Act. They uphold the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards
put forth by the American Nurses Association. As part of the
patient services team, they advocate for patients and adhere to
system policies and procedures while aiming for excellence in
service goals. Key responsibilities include performing the Nursing
Process utilizing evidence-based practice and analytical thinking.
The nurse ensures individualized care and collaborates effectively
with patients and their significant others, utilizing methods like
shift reports and patient teaching. They coordinate and document
safe, high-quality patient care through diverse communication
methods, timely documentation, and fostering a respectful clinical
environment. Nurses participate in performance improvement,
research, and utilize evidence to promote safe patient care and
support governance at all system levels. The role involves
completing professional competency assessments, serving as
preceptors or mentors, and promoting a professional practice
environment. They engage in evidence-based practice, data
collection, and collaborate with experts to address practice
questions. The nurse proactively plans for patient care and
collaborates in developing best practice protocols and procedures.
Efficient resource utilization and adherence to organizational
policies, legal, and accreditation standards are expected.
Performing other duties as assigned, they comply with all policies
and standards. Minimum education required is an Associate's Degree
in nursing or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. Direct patient care
experience is preferred. Key skills include proficiency in English,
basic computer skills, strong critical thinking, time management,
and an ability to respond decisively and respectfully in
