Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Float Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year; first-time travelers accepted License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must be available to float to all medical surgical and telemetry units within the facility Description: Minimum experience required is 1 year in a related field. Travelers must be available to work every other weekend, with an average of 6 weekends in a 13-week contract. The nurse will float required to various medical surgical and telemetry units within the facility. The nurse will work with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. The nurse must comply with all facility requirements. The nurse will utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems during shifts. Orientation consists of 13 hours and is non-billable. The nurse is expected to work one major holiday if it falls within their assignment period. If two major holidays occur, the nurse is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the nurse is expected to work two. Compliance with all requirements is necessary for timely start. No call requirements are included in this position. All candidates must be available to submit required documents and complete necessary labs within 48 hours of signing the contract. Candidates must have two supervisory references available for submission. RTO must not exceed 7 days and should be included with the candidate submission.
