Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years; first timers not accepted License: Georgia or Compact license required Certifications: BLS Required ACLS Required NRP Required AWHONN Intermediate Preferred Must-Have: Experience with labor (vaginal), C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension Ability to work in a team-based unit Description: We are seeking motivated, experienced labor and delivery registered nurses. The patient population includes neonates, infants, and adults. The unit consists of 16 labor and delivery beds with an average daily census of 15. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 to 1:2. Orientation consists of 13 hours of training. Available to work weekends, with a maximum of 7 days of request time off. Floating within the facility may be required. Call requirements include 2 calls for AM and PM shifts every 6 weeks. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Compliance is essential to start on time; failure may lead to delays.
