TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Stockbridge, Georgia, 30281! Pay Information $1,858 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years; first timers accepted License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NIH Must-Have: Two supervisory references preferred Description: The ideal candidate will have experience working with a patient population that includes adults to geriatrics. Common patient diagnoses include appendicitis, cholecystitis, small bowel obstruction, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, hypertension, and hypo/hyperglycemia. Surgical procedures may include prostatectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, ostomy creation/reversal, exploratory laparotomy, and bowel resections. Familiarity with equipment used in the unit is required, including NGT, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and wound vacs. The staff-to-patient ratio is 1:6 in a unit with 34 beds and an average daily census of 27. Knowledge of unit systems such as Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR is beneficial. The candidate must be available to work weekends every other weekend. There are no call requirements for this position. The candidate will be expected to work major holidays as outlined in the holiday policy. Full compliance is required to start on time. Candidates must be able to submit core items and complete necessary labs within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure an on-time start. Local candidates are welcome to apply.
