Surgical First Assistant Location: Atlanta, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,578 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 14 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 5 years preferred; 3 years considered with clinical screening License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, CSFA or NBSTSA, NCCSA accepted Must-Have: Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, Thoracic experience required Previous charge experience preferred Experience in trauma centers preferred Travel experience required Description: Position requires a privileging process prior to start. The privileging process takes approximately 120 days from the time of signature. Candidate must complete the privileging process before starting. Dayshift schedule is required. Weekend coverage is only required during call. Call is for one day a week and one weekend every four weeks. Floating within the facility and to Main OR as needed is required. Minimum of 5 years experience is expected, but 3 years will be considered after screening. Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to determine fit. If clinical screening is passed, the candidate will be sent to management for final decision. Request time off is limited to 7 days maximum. Holidays cannot be requested for time off. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant, the start may be pushed back by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Special procedures and unit details are subject to management's adjustments to support unit needs. Candidates must submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing the contract. Travelers are expected to be available to work on holidays, with no holiday requests accepted. If three major holidays occur during the assignment, travelers are expected to be available for two.
