Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with at least 1 year of experience, GA or compact RN license, and BLS certification for night shifts in a hospital setting. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit with a 38-bed capacity - Patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics with a variety of medical-surgical diagnoses - Remote telemetry monitoring is utilized on the unit - Average patient ratio is 1:6 per nurse - Uses Epic EMR (Epic experience required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication - Night shift schedule (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am) - Weekend shifts required every other weekend - Floating to other units may be required - No on-call responsibilities - Duties include providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population with remote telemetry monitoring - Navy blue scrubs are required - Must be able to work assigned holidays according to facility policy - Time off not permitted during the first week and a maximum of 7 days RTO is allowed per assignment - First-time travelers are accepted - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate - Full compliance must be met prior to start; non-compliance may delay start by two weeks due to bi-weekly orientation - No blocked scheduling permitted - Travel pairs are not permitted to be scheduled the same shift on the same unit /n /n Requirements/n - Active GA or compact RN license - Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg experience - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Epic EMR experience is required - Must provide two supervisory references (manager or above) - Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 year to return as traveler, or must complete a successful assignment elsewhere before returning if deemed unable to return /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-654907.
