Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: 1. Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics 2. Experience in Medical Surgical / Remote Telemetry 3. Familiarity with Epic charting system Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical specialty. The role requires providing care for adult to geriatric patients. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. Experience with medical/surgical cases, including post-operative care and wound management, is essential. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6. Responsibilities include IV management, blood product administration, and care for various patient diagnoses. The unit averages 28 patients daily, with a total of 33 beds available. Knowledge of IV insulin protocols and handling of colostomy/ileostomy management is required. The Registered Nurse will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Floating within the facility may be required as needed. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend unless specified otherwise. The nurse is expected to work designated major holidays during their assignment period. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time.
