Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty:
Progressive Care Unit Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: -
Experience in telemetry, management of dysrhythmias, blood product
administration, and central line care. - Ability to administer
cardiac drips without titration. - Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis
systems. Description: The position involves caring for a patient
population of adults to geriatrics. Patients are admitted via
direct admission or emergency room. The unit consists of
intermediate level medical surgical patients. Diagnoses include
dysrhythmias, congestive heart failure, acute onset stroke or
stroke symptoms not requiring TPA, and acute coronary syndrome. The
environment is fast-paced, focusing on patient throughput while
providing patient-centered care. Teamwork is emphasized, with a
patient ratio of 1:4. All patients are on hardwire telemetry.
Self-monitoring by the RN is crucial. The position requires
compliance with holiday work expectations. Flexibility for weekend
shifts is needed, with every other weekend typically required. 5
