Hours per Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Experience: Minimum years of
experience required License: RN - Single State or RN - Multi-State
Compact Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Ability to read,
write, and speak English. Strong interpersonal and collaborative
skills. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond
to emergencies. Excellent time management skills. Evidence-based
practice and strong critical thinking skills. Description: The RN
Clinical Nurse Critical Care is a proactive member of an
interdisciplinary team. They ensure that patients, families, and
significant others receive individualized, high-quality, and safe
patient care. They practice in a clinical environment supported by
Nurse Managers and other leaders. The framework for practice is
based on a shared governance model and evidence-based practice. RN
competencies are derived from these models and supported by core
values. All RN Clinical Nurses Critical Care are required to be
licensed and knowledgeable. They uphold the practice of nursing as
outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act. They implement the
Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards by the American
Nurses Association. It is expected that the individual supports
service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential
Functions: The nursing process includes assessment, diagnosis,
identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and
evaluation. Care is individualized and coordinated through
effective partnerships. Relationship-based patient-centered care is
provided consistent with population-specific characteristics.
Patients and significant others are partners in the care process.
Current clinical practice standards are implemented. Collaborative
care involves coordinating and documenting quality patient care in
a professional manner. There will be teamwork and collaboration,
supporting recruitment and retention of team members. Participation
in performance improvement activities is essential. Research and
utilization of evidence-based practices promote safe, quality
patient care. The RN Clinical Nurse supports and participates in
shared governance. Professional Development and Initiative:
Completion of ongoing professional competency assessments and
mandatory education is required. The RN serves as a preceptor and
mentor for other professional nurses. Evidence-based practice and
nursing research participation is essential. Compliance with all
organizational policies and procedures is required. Participation
in data collection and addressing practice questions is expected.
Resources and Support: Proactive planning for the care of patients
across the continuum is crucial. The RN participates in developing
protocols and procedures for best practice outcomes. Efficient use
of human and material resources is supportive of the role. Other
