Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per
Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year
required; first-time travelers accepted License: Valid state
nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke
Scale Must-Have: Experience with telemetry, managing cardiac drips,
and working with neuro/stroke patients Description: Minimum
experience of 1 year is required. First-time travelers are
accepted. The patient population includes adolescents to
geriatrics. Nurses are expected to work with continuous telemetry
monitoring. The assignments will involve PCU level patients. The
nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. The unit has 36 beds with an average
daily census of 30 patients. The role includes titrating cardiac
drips and managing vasoactive drips without titration. Additional
responsibilities include the management of dysrhythmias, initiating
and maintaining IVs, and caring for central lines. Collaboration
with interdisciplinary teams such as physical therapy and
respiratory services is expected. Nurses must be comfortable
working in a mixed medical environment, including respiratory and
cardiac care. Flexibility to float within the facility based on
practice scope may be required. Working every other weekend is
expected unless specified otherwise. If one major holiday occurs
during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
Travelers are expected to be available to work two major holidays
if three occur during the assignment period. Full compliance with
