Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Jan 5, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 6 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position on a cardiac unit, requiring 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience and a SC or compact RN license. Details - Work in a hospital setting on a cardiac-focused medical/surgical unit - Night shifts with a 3 x 12-hour schedule - Patient care responsibilities specific to cardiac and medical/surgical patients - Requires use of the Cerner EMR system - No floating or on-call responsibilities mentioned Requirements - Active SC or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience in a U.S. hospital - Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI With Advanced Physical Skills Training) required - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program - BSN highly desired - Experience with Cerner required - Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted - Two recent manager or supervisor references from the past twelve months are preferred Additional Information - Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document according to unit policy - Deliver age-appropriate and competent nursing care to cardiac/med/surg patients - Maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards - COVID-19 and flu vaccination may be required as part of pre-employment process - Scrub color or dress code not specified - Not open to new graduates or first-time travelers American Traveler Job ID P-651412.
