cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) including milrinone,
dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin.
Description: The position requires caring for adult to geriatric
patients. The patient population includes those with diagnoses such
as CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypo-/hypertension, pleural
effusion, sepsis, and vascular issues. The typical nurse-to-patient
ratio is 1:4-5. The unit operates with 16 rooms. The electronic
health record system in use is Epic. Nurses will monitor telemetry
and manage IV insulin protocols. Skills in interpreting
dysrhythmias and administering blood products are essential. All
candidates must comply fully with requirements before starting.
Weekends will be scheduled every other weekend unless otherwise
specified. If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the
traveler is expected to work it. For two major holidays, the
traveler must work both. If three major holidays occur, the
traveler is expected to work two. Compliance documentation is
required to start on time. The role may involve floating within the
