About this role

This position supervises entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of production employees and sets day-to-day goals. Manages cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.

Role Responsibilities:

• Effectively lead a 2nd shift (Operations & Materials) department that is focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
• You should have a safety 1st mindset and lead by example ensuring all safety guidelines are followed consistently
• Develop and support a 5s mindset on 2nd shift. Ensured processes are being followed by all employees
• Communicate and work closely with the 1st shift supervisors to ensure there's a clear understanding of the daily expectations
• Ability to recognize and resolve when gaps exist throughout the night
• Train and help develop team leaders
• Understand all 2nd shift processes (Operations & Materials)
• Ensure time and attendance is accurate
• Develop an environment that champions high employee morale promoting fair and equal treatment focused on results
• Conduct employee performance reviews providing effective and constructive unbiased feedback
  
  Role Purpose:
  
  • To be management representative on the 2nd shift
  • Lead and manage the 2nd shift Operations and Materials
    
    Required Qualifications:
    
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 3+ years of experience in operations or materials
    • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
      
      Preferred Qualifications:
      
      • Un derstands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution
        Requires specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices
        University Degree and a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience
