Position Summary The Office of Service-Learning is looking for an energetic, creative, and self-directed individual to coordinate the Experience UGA field trip program. This partnership between the University of Georgia and the Clarke County School District ( CCSD ) aims to bring every student in the Clarke County School District ( CCSD ) to UGA's campus for an annual academic field trip. Experience UGA is an early college experience program that allows CCSD students to participate in hands-on, curricular-based learning activities and gain exposure to college life on UGA's campus to foster interest in higher education.The Coordinator will report to Assistant Director for Community Partnerships in the Office of Service-Learning. The successful candidate will have a unique professional opportunity to provide support for expanding this program as well as other school-based outreach and engagement initiatives in the OSL as needed.Primary responsibilities include: coordinating with the Experience UGA Advisory Board on administration and strategic planning; implementing field trip activities that connect to grade level standards; managing communication and logistics between UGA trip leaders and CCSD teachers and staff; advising the Experience UGA Ambassador program; providing mentorship and oversight of Experience UGA graduate assistant, AmeriCorps Member, and intern(s)/student worker; maintaining Experience UGA virtual content and online engagement efforts; fundraising and grant writing; administering trip evaluations; complying with institutional policies surrounding hosting minors on campus; recruiting and managing volunteers and partners through the GivePulse platform; and promoting the Experience UGA program to internal and external stakeholders through presentations and meetings. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies ---Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Coordinate field trip planning and implementation between UGA faculty and Clarke County School District administrators and teachers, including the following activities: developing an annual field trip calendar; supporting UGA trip coordinators in planning; communicating with CCSD trip leaders; facilitating trips; working with Advisory Board; creating pre- and post-trip materials; managing and updating resources on the Experience UGA Virtual website; developing workshops and other special events as needed; and working with CCSD Transportation and Campus Transit for bus logistics.
