  • Assistant Professor with expertise in Pre-K-12 Educational Administration and Policy- The University of Georgia Assistant Professor with expertise in Pre-K-12 Educational Administration and Policy- The University of Georgia Posted: September 10, 2016 The Department of Lifelong Education, Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia invites applications for a position as an Assistant Professor with expertise in pre-K-12 educational administration and policy to begin August 2017.The Educational Administration and Policy program offers five degree programs, including the PhD and MEd in Educational Administration and Policy, and an MEd,EdS, and EdD in Educational Leadership. Further, the program offers a certificate in Education Law and Policy. Information about the department can be found at .Responsibilities:
    • Engage in scholarly research and produce publications related to Educational Administration and/or Policy in high impact venues;
    • Teach graduate level courses (face-to-face, online and/or blended) on the Athens and Gwinnett campuses;
    • Advise students, direct dissertations and serve on graduate student committees;
    • Seek and acquire external funding; and
    • Provide service to the department, college, university and professionRequired Qualifications:
      An earned doctorate (PhD or similar) in educational administration or policy (with an emphasis on organizational leadership, school or district leadership, school reform, school improvement, leadership in high needs schools, programmatic equity in schools, educational change, or closely related area).
      • Established record of scholarship in educational leadership and/or policy
      • Established record or demonstrated potential for securing external research funding
      • Demonstrated ability to design and conduct research
      • Demonstrated ability to teach graduate students
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAppointment
        will be for the 2017-2018 academic year, beginning August 2017.Applicants should submit:
