Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please
contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of
education/experience in lieu of the required minimum
qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree perferred.
Position Summary
The incumbent will oversee undergraduate-employer engagement
services for the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA)
including internships, fellowships, and entry-level job
opportunities for undergraduate students. Major duties include
developing and implementing strategies to prepare students for
internships, identifying and recruiting internship sponsors, and
placing students into internships and jobs. The employee will
collaborate with the SPIA Office of Development and External
Relations (ODER), SPIA Office of Student Affairs, UGA Career Center
among other campus offices to plan and execute effective career
awareness, readiness, and development programming geared toward
SPIA students and careers in public and international affairs; as
well as represent SPIA at various events in order to expand and
improve SPIA career services. This position has off-campus visits
to employers. Some travel is necessary.
