Essential Functions Manage and maintain crew level production and productivity standards. Foreman will work alongside their crew(s) as a working supervisor when not performing oversight activities. Participation in and crew oversight of layout, assembly and installation of various solar array components required for electrical collection and distribution of solar / Renewable energy production plant. Working with and supporting mechanical activities associated with equipment installation. Read plans and blueprints and manage the installation from start to finish. Testing, terminations and QA/QC of various systems and components. Commissioning and troubleshooting of power and communications systems throughout the plant. Assess work location for task and prepare and present Job Hazard Analysis for crew safety, and Identify and mitigate hazards for crew and equipment safety. Lead and manage a team of up to 30 members. Accurately manage and track employee timecards. Accurately track and report production quantities. ABOUT YOU Qualifications Minimum 4 years' experience with mechanical installations in the solar / renewable industry. Minimum of 1 year of prior leadership experience is required. Must be capable of operating company vehicles and equipment on a daily basis. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive, proper licensing, and a clean driving record for insurability. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Comfortable reading blueprints. Perform work outdoors in sometimes inclement weather with moderate to high noise level. Worker may be subject to hazards including variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, performing actions repetitively. Heavy work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. WHAT WE OFFER Compensation & Benefits Salary commensurate with experience with weekly pay. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
