Job purpose

Oversees and produces quality results in project management, process development, new product development, and process control.

Duties and responsibilities

• Supervise and control the attendance and tracking of assigned workforce
• Generate and manage projects by creating project plans with deliverables and meeting deadlines
• Control and manage new product development cycles with the concurrent engineering team. Including production simulation, standard work and work instruction guide creation, adoption council meetings, and mass production transfer
• Understand how to identify and create key performance indicators and manage a team to achieve goals based on that information
• Ability to adapt quickly to production needs and manage special projects in association with that need
• Prepare and present process control and shop conditions to management teams
• Develop team members in the process, job, and skills knowledge
• Develop the kaizen system and train other supervisors, and lead people on kaizen concepts through the implementation of kaizen projects
• Support process and capacity improvement through kaizen implementation
• Investigate and understand process problems, forming root cause and countermeasures
• Ensure process control through auditing and countermeasure procedures
  
  Qualifications
  
  
  • Previous Lead Person, QIP, or Technician (Or Equivalent) experience
  • Good communications skills
  • Minimum 1-year experience in team member training and development
  • Positive team personality
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to create reports and present to management teams
  • Manage projects from start to completion
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

    • Previous Manufacturing Experience
    • Previous Supervisory Experience
    • Graduation from 5-Gen NA Training
    • LEAP training
    • Previous product development experience
      
      Working conditions
      
      Ability to work in extreme heat and cold. Ability to work in a loud environment.
      
      Physical requirements
      
      Ability to stand/ be on your feet for long periods and walk throughout the shop floor. Ability to sit at a desk. Ability to use hands/ fingers. Ability to reach with arms. Ability to operate power and handheld tools, complete repetitive tasks.
