Xpedient is a full-service 3rd party logistics provider. We have experience helping a diverse client base in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment and labor needs. Reporting to General Manager for an asset based logistics provider in U.S. and Canada. --Shift Time: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm--Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays----Summary--A Gate Attendant is responsible for the access control of all incoming and outgoing traffic into the facility yard. Documents arrival of trailers into the various systems. Checks accuracy of the paperwork and the loads of trucks and trailers upon their exit from the facility yard. At some facilities, may be required to perform physical door checks throughout the facility.Roles and Responsibilities:--Guard the entrance the facility and grounds, warehouse, or other property to control traffic to and from buildings and groundsPrevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areasOpens gates to allow entrance or exit of employees, truckers, and authorized visitorsCheck the credentials or approved roster before admitting anyone thru the gatesDirects visitors and truckers to various parts of grounds or buildingsInspects outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or productData entry to record number of trucks, work orders or other carriers entering or leaving facilityInput data into systemWrite reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as theft, equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrencesAnswer telephone and transfer calls to different departmentsPerform other duties as requiredPreferred Qualifications: -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Excellent and proven interpersonal and customer service skills (Verbal and written)Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, high stress environment.Excellent communication and verbal skills with all levels of the organizationRequired Skills and Abilities:--Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching or bendingTalking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasksMay require ability to occasionally lift, carry, position, and moving objects weighing up to 20 poundsRequires ability to work Saturdays and overtimeSafety:Observe and follow health and safety regulations--Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and proceduresMaintain detailed records of safety incidentsAssign designated safety personnelMaintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.--Xpedient Logistics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Xpedient offers competitive wages, insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision and life), paid time off and holidays.Compensation details: 19.19 Hourly WagePIe3ce4544f598-25660-37660567
