About the College/Unit/Department The UGA Search Group has been operational since October 2006. The Group is a full-featured internal executive search unit, which means that we have a comprehensive understanding of the institution's culture and priorities as well an added level of ownership to successfully place the best candidates. The Group actively recruits top talent, and is also responsible for the administration of the search for the internal client by managing the planning and execution of all search related meetings. These activities include designing the search timeline, developing on campus schedules, and communicating with the University community regarding on campus interview activity. Position Summary The Executive Process Specialist role will provide organization and coordination in support of the executive search process. By maintaining a sound strategic search process strategy, and utilizing project management skills in the delivery of on-time communication, research, marketing, event production and document management in the executive search process for the Institution, the Executive Process Specialist will assist the office in filling key-contributor leadership positions. These top talent hires will have a major impact on the University. The Executive Process Specialist serves as a part of the Process Management team and is responsible for producing an effective and respectable search process through foundational organization, support and project management of the executive search process. The Executive Process Specialist will work on multiple searches at any given time and support the team in conducting research for prospective candidates, securing campus spaces for search meetings, communicating with key internal and external constituents, and focusing on the details that are the hallmark of the UGA Search Group. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies ---Ability to deliver work on time, and to work effectively with minimal supervision. ---Proficient ability in MS Word document creation, familiarity with MS Excel spreadsheets, email, and management report creation as needed. ---Strong attention to detail and a deep commitment to quality in all aspects of work. ---Excellent organizational skills. ---Communicate effectively at all levels of a large, complex organization in both written and oral forms through phone, email, and personal interactions. ---Ability to provide a high level of customer service in an academic environment, project a positive attitude, ability to display professionally mature behavior in challenging situations. ---Work with confidential and sensitive information. ---Personal accountability with a desire for continuous improvement. ---The ability to adapt in challenging situations and work autonomously with a strong commitment to team accountability. Sending emails to mass groups on a regular basis regarding search events (invitations, friendly reminders, feedback requests; respond to questions; respond to and record RSVPs). Percentage of time 25 Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Conducting internet research to identify top candidates for senior level administration and faculty positions; Conducting additional internet searches as needed. Planning and scheduling interviews with key stakeholder groups. Acting as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders involved in search-related events.
