Job Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; process and issued
paperwork at the time of inventory movement required, and before
turning in paper at the end of the shift. Tracks orders, keep
effectively communication with Accounting, Planning, Receiving and
all parties involved in the operation on a daily basis. Maintains
database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles
actual stock count to computer generated reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Verify and match all product labels to paperwork prior to product
leaving the production area
* Communicate directly with Accounting on any scale, inventory, or
labeling concerns
* Verify product issued to the lines for production matches issued
paperwork at the time of inventory movement and before turning in
paperwork at the end of the shift
* Assign product to the correct production order in ShopFloor
* Visually inspect each combo and pallet to verify product and
packaging condition prior to labeling
* Verify proper coolant application throughout each combo prior to
labeling
* Delete any unused label before making another inventory movement
and verify before turning in paperwork at end of the shift
* Utilize a pivot report to verify labels to all paperwork before
submitted and communicate any unused labels to Accounting
* Verify organization of the cooler to allow for proper inventory
throughout and after the close of each shift
* Communicate with Accounting and Planning to ensure correct
production orders are issued to the scale
* Monitor and track inventory for changeovers between product codes
for finished goods and work in progress
* Track inventory rotation by production date
* Communicate with Receiving on in-bound inventory
* Complete end of shift reports related to production
* Communicate continuous improvement opportunities to be approved
by management
* Wipe down the scale housing before and after each shift, subject
to pre-operational inspection
* Change labels and cover/secure scale prior to the sanitation
window
* Change print head and label roller as needed
* Scan all paperwork before the end of the shift and submit via
email as well as a physical form to Accounting
* Help with production as needed
* Train back-up role for coverage
* Verify that each job requirement is understood
SKILLS OR TRAINING:
Basic computer operation
* Operate a scale/labeling system
* Understand middle to advanced math concepts
* Complete training and be able to operate a powered industrial
truck
* Understand/learn regulatory labeling requirements
* ShopFloor training
* USDA PVP training
* Self-motivated with process ownership
* Communicate effectively to all parties involved in the
operation
* Able to work as an individual or as a team
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
