10% Job Description Silgan PCS, under the umbrella of Silgan
Holdings, is a plastic enclosure manufacturing facility located in
the beautiful mountains of northeast Tennessee, and is looking to
add to the team. We currently have two locations in Kingsport, TN,
and employ over 175 people. We service and make caps for the milk,
water and juice industries. Our facility and product line are
growing, as are the opportunities. Come join us! Position Summary
:Major responsibilities include usage of mechanical, electrical and
pneumatic tools for machine repair (Husky, Van Dorn, Krauss Maffei,
Sacmi, Oberburg). Evaluates, corrects and eliminates day-to-day
machine problems, performing preventive maintenance and working on
special projects resulting in improved productivity. This person
will be cross-trained in other areas of maintenance.Job
Description: Troubleshoot and repair secondary equipment and
support equipment for complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and
hydraulic problems. Install hydraulic tubing, fittings, hoses,
valves, cylinders and pumps on machine Train new maintenance techs
on new machines. Communicate with operators, maintenance
department, as well as other company personnel as needed. Operate
various hand, electric, pneumatic tools including: mill, shears,
various saws and grinders, as well as other equipment when
necessary. Documentation of predictive, preventive and corrective
maintenance performed through EAM. Inspects and measures parts to
detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Visually inspects and
listens to machine and equipment to locate malfunctions. Starts
machines and equipment to test operation following repair. Repairs
broken parts. Identifies and participates in continuous improvement
activities Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Job Requirements Ability to trouble-shoot and repair injection
molding equipment and support equipment for basic mechanical,
electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems. Ability to perform
installation and fabrication of injection molding support
equipment. Ability to perform basic electronic functions. Ability
to perform basic plumbing functions. Ability to work in a team
environment, as well as being self sufficient Ability to
communicate with the maintenance department, as well as other
personnel within the organization. Ability to work on a ladder at
heights reaching 60 feet. Ability to operate various hand, electric
and pneumatic tools, including: Mill, shears, various saws and
grinders, as well as other equipment when necessary. Certification
to drive a forklift, scissors lift an a boom lift. Must possess
strong mechanical and electrical skills, as well as a firm grasp in
all phases of plant maintenance. Proficiency in mechanical,
hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic tools for machine repair. Good
mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to read schematics.
Good communication (oral, written and listening) skills.
Adaptability, Building Strategic Working Relationships, Initiating
Action, Managing Work (includes Time Management) Safety Awareness,
Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills Experience in
troubleshooting electrical and PLC problems/devices a big plus.
Computer Knowledge Associates Degree a plus Physical Requirements:
Repetitive bending from the upright position to approximately a 35
degree angle. Ability to maneuver in various positions including:
kneeling, sitting, laying down, as well as working at heights
reaching up to 60 feet. Pulling or pushing a hand jack with product
weighing up to 500 lbs. Ability to transport heavy equipment and
parts to various locations within the facility Ability to
