JOB TITLE: MARKET SALES REPRESENTATIVEJob Summary: The Market Sales Representative is a regular, full-time salaried outside sales position that is focused on growing both On- & Off-Premise accounts within a specified geographic area. The Market Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing the sales of Terrapin Beer Company brands to assigned accounts through effective planning, selling, merchandising and communication that enables the achievement of company and distributor objectives. The incumbent will report directly to the applicable Regional Sales Manager.This position is to be based in the Greater Green Bay, WI area and will be responsible for covering a sales territory consisting of the Greater Green Bay and Appleton, WI areas.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with assigned accounts within assigned area in order to develop preferred supplier status.
  • Analyzes entire account base by visiting each account and identifying potential sales opportunities.
  • Be thoroughly acquainted with every key decision maker or decision influencer within designated accounts.
  • Execute fun and engaging brand interactions for assigned accounts and wholesalers through promotions and events.
  • Responsible for attaining standards of performance goals by achieving the distribution, volume and activity goals as set by management.
  • Understands and works with distributor management on inventory levels by being aware of current inventory and out of stock situations & by alerting management to possible fluctuations in demand.
  • Prepares and delivers professional sales presentations to customers by balancing the companys priorities and customers needs.
  • Ensures maximum brand visibility within accounts by maintaining account standards as determined by management and using effective & current point of sale materials when appropriate.
  • Maintains professional relationships with all suppliers by participating in effective supplier work with sales calls and market blitzes.
  • Remains informed of company activities and updates by attending and actively participating in weekly sales meetings.
  • Responsible for providing accurate and timely communication to management of sales and market related issues affecting successful performance.
  • Assist Regional Sales Manager in communicating brewerys objectives, policies, and procedures with distributor partners.
  • Responsible for managing a personal and professional calendar, with particular attention to balancing multiple deadlines at any given time.
  • Answers all client and distributor inquiries in accordance with company values and expectations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.Competencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.

    • Safety & Security - the individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.Knowledge & Skills Requirements:This position requires a 2-year degree in Marketing, Business, Management or a similar degree program with a minimum of 3 years sales experience.This position requires frequent travel and applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work 8-10 hours shifts and be able to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, that are dependent on operational business needs of the brewery.This position requires being able to maintain business-like behavior during and after the consumption of alcohol during social events.Other Requirements:At Terrapin Beer Company, the health and safety of our people is our number one priority.
