Job Description Job Description Quality Assurance Manager Griffin, GA Job Summary: Ensure that all external and internal requirements are met, and maintain quality standards for the companys processes, materials and products. General Duties & Responsibilities: To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company. While performing any procedure, all associates must observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines. The use of appropriate personal protective equipment is required. Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position. Adhere to appropriate the companys operating procedures, benefit rules, employment, and safety policies/practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues Monitor all operations that affect quality Supervise and guide inspectors, technicians and other staff Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output Appraise customers requirements and make sure they are satisfied Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data Review current standards and policies Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation Ensure all legal standards are met Communicate with external quality assurance officers Lead/Manage the ISO9001and ISO audit Assist the request for sanitary regulations from customers Communicate with customers to improve Quality issues and implement root cause analysis Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments Interfaces with other departments and the internal trainer to develop and implement training programs as required Communicate quality issues and out of specifications conditions to appropriate personnel and with shift leaders Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals Initiates and develops standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation Directs Quality engineering engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of nonconforming and pending material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility Maintain the NC material area to ensure that all products are distributed in a timely manner Suggests and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of shop, department, or work crew Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems Planning and Implement supplier audit SOURCING & PROCUREMENT Competencies/Specific Experience or Training Preferred: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience A minimum of an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college ; or six months to one year of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Three years of related experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Management skill of ISO9001 is preferred Must hold a valid drivers license ASQ certification or equivalent preferred Occasional travel is required up to 20% and some international travel. Equipment and Applications Mocon test equipment, Retort Chamber, Laminator, Tensile strength testing equipment A valid drivers license compliant with Company motor vehicle policy and subject to annual MVR checks Job Conditions: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
