Job Title - Registered Nurse - CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU)
Location - Gainesville, GA Shift - Nights Expected Hours - 36 hours
a week (12 hours a day, 3 shifts a week) Duration - 13 weeks

and partner facilities. Job Overview: The Cardiovascular Intensive
Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse provides specialized care to
critically ill patients recovering from complex cardiac procedures,
such as open-heart surgery, heart transplants, and other major
cardiovascular interventions. The CVICU RN monitors and manages
life-sustaining equipment and medications, assesses patient
conditions, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to
deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care. Key
Responsibilities: Provide continuous, high-acuity monitoring for
patients with life-threatening cardiovascular conditions. Manage
advanced life-support equipment including ventilators, intra-aortic
balloon pumps, and ventricular assist devices. Administer critical
medications such as vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, and sedation
agents. Perform complex assessments, document patient responses,
and adjust care plans as needed. Collaborate with cardiologists,
surgeons, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to
coordinate care. Respond promptly to emergencies such as
arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, or sudden hemodynamic changes. Educate
patients and families about recovery, procedures, and long-term
care needs. Maintain strict adherence to infection control and
safety protocols.
