Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring for Project Engineer in Atlanta,
Georgia 30346 As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for :
Understand how to read plans, specifications, drawings, and
estimates. Lead resolution of project issues through RFI's, field
surveys, and customer communications. Manage incoming requests from
customers, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers
efficiently so that they are addressed promptly while balancing
work assignments. Be able to read and understand hardware
submittals, read or write simple programming, and assist others in
start-up of control's equipment at a basic level with mentor
support. Maintain and adhere to standards for engineering hardware
and software designs. Assist the PM in reviewing contract
documentation, coordinating drawings, material procurement, and mgt
throughout project life cycle. Basic understanding of operator
workstation use, graphics, and software development. Participate in
basic field startup using standard start-up and checkout processes.
Proficiency in the usage of Studio 360 and Prometheus apps and any
other applicable engineering tools. Participate in system startup
and commissioning using standard pre-functional checkout processes.
Become a lead field engineering resource on multiple simultaneous
small to medium-sized projects and perform all field engineering
responsibilities from mobilization to closeout. Review field
sketches for change order exposure and provide feedback to Project
Manager. Cybersecurity: Competency of cybersecurity paradigms
(security passwords, configuration) and networking hardware Ability
to develop or modify sequences of operations from the
conversations. Ensure all design engineer activity is aligned with
latest conformed construction documents prior to installation. Able
to modify and update design drawings and maintain red line
documents. Collaborates with project manager and procurement
personnel purchasing activity and monitors budget risks. Assist the
PM in material procurement. Ensure materials are being delivered to
the site. Validate hardware and project installations Install,
replace, and re-commission devices, equipment, and software.
Diagnose communication problems and install control devices and
other components, troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
Participate in field quality control or safety audits and review
analysis and results. Coordinate with on-site contractors for the
installation of equipment based on shop drawings. Act as primary
point of contact for subcontractors and coordinate and address any
issues during installation phase independently. Make sure that
installation tracking sheets are updated regularly. Setup outside
ISP connections and remote connectivity to customer sites. Required
Skills/Experiences: This position is typically held by an
individual who has at least 4 years' experience as a Systems
Application Engineer with related industry knowledge and
demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with
customers and other trades. Should have experience with HVAC and
security installations and be proficient in all types of building
systems and the application of our technology. Capable of
coordinating other project team activities on site, including
coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and
customers. This position is responsible for project coordination,
safety, installation, checkout, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Education Required: Four-year engineering/technical degree or
equivalent. Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire Position Location
Atlanta, Georgia 30346 Work Schedule: Onsite Shift: 1st shift
(8:00am to 5:00pm) Pay range: $48/hr. to $52/hr. * Pay range
